Signs of Mental & Emotional Abuse
Mental or emotional abuse is also referred to as psychological abuse. This abuse can allow the survivor to experience psychological trauma that can involve anxiety, manic depression, post traumatic stress disorder and have thoughts of suicide.
Mental abuse can occur from verbal abuse, bullying, destructive relationships, physical and sexual abuse, and financial abuse. Mental abuse can target one's self esteem, making one feel unworthy, unwanted, lowering one's pride of self, and question the abilities of one's self.
